The Child in You Lives

Ronnie Scott

Have you ever wondered what ever happened to your favorite t.v. shows and movies you watched as a kid? Have you ever wanted to know what happened after the happily ever after? Your questions and wonders have been answered and fulfilled.
Although being out for a few seasons the continuation of “Boy Meets World” is being carried out through the perspective of Corey Matthews daughter in the show “Girl Meets World.” It shows Riley’s (Matthews daughter) life, her growing up and facing obstacles of hard issues.
“Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World” dealt/deal with current issues that teens faced/face in their daily lives which make the show easy to.
Do any of you remember “That’s so Raven?” Shes coming back with a new family of her own. In the continuation of “That’s so Raven (Raven’s Home)” she is a single mother living with her best friend Chelsie from the previous show along with her own two kids and her best friends’ two kids also. In the show, one of her kids developes her psychic abilities and he tries to hide it from his mom as she has not told the kids about her own abilities. All around the show has qualities for every age group. “I’ve seen the new Ravens Home and I think it has a really good plot and is very clever although the show is great it doesn’t have the same feel as the old show” said Julio Pineda. He also said, “this is the only spinoff of the old disney shows I’ve seen but I’d like to see what Disney does with the old shows.”
The Claw is sure all Kearns students be reminiscing while watching these. “Descendants” was quite innovative for Disney, and became a favorite right away for many children. “Descendants 2” premiered in July 2017 and continued with the same following as the original. For those of you villain lovers, there are rumors of a “Descendants 3.”
Let’s not forget the Movies, such as “Finding Nemo” and ten years later “Finding Dory.” A full decade later Disney released this sequel that was not only nostalgic for the characters you came to love “Finding Nemo” but also was a little prequel to give the back-story on Dory and of course new characters to love. Today you can really see the underlying messages in the movies, that as a kid you just enjoyed as an animated story.
Last but not least, “Cars.” They have yet again continued the story of Lightning McQueen in “Cars 3” and they have managed to make it a little darker and more thought provoking. It has been six years since the sequel and eleven since the original in 2006.
Whatever show or movie brings back memories for you, the messages and lessons are definitely something to think about. So let your inner child out and go see some extremely nostalgic movies and shows.
