Kearns- Yes, you heard it right! City leaders are creating a new vibrantly filled downtown in Salt Lakes second largest city, West Valley. Bringing new police headquarters, new jobs, a 9-story office building, housing, hotels and entertainment for you, your family and friends.  $500 million has been invested in this one project by Rachel Foreman, the vice principal of Vestar marketing.

The downtown project has been planned for the last 10 years. 40 acres has been purchased at 3500 S and I-215, if you’ve seen all the construction near the interstate, it’s all in hand for this project and many were recruited to develop and bring to life these plans for a new hangout-entertainment center. $15 million alone went into adding new stores in the area, restaurants and even a bowling alley. Valley Fair has been renovated too with chain stores already to be located as the main hub. Hotels will be perfect for tourists and business agents with the location being convenient to the Salt Lake City International Airport. Rachel stated that there’s really no restrictions to what else is going to be added into this hub-center making it easier to fully rebrand a new image. Vester owns the Gateway property as well and has been under reconstruction recently inspiring ideas for downtown in West Valley. By the end of 2019 architects and business planners plan to be finished, and the Spring Hill Suites Hotel is scheduled to open a little later in November of 2020. The new center will be a great opportunity for people interested in looking for work and being involved in helping the community run as expected.

Vester is making additions to the map in hopes that they can provide a fun and a magnificent place for everyone to come visit and build reputable businesses. As far as community and economic development West Valley is striving to refine development processes, quality neighborhood livability design and choice, and enhancing safety amongst the city.
