Fulfilling Expectations

On August 26, 2016 our Kearns High Varsity team played Granger High School, sadly they lost 21-28. The Cougar Claw had the chance to interview one of the players Angel Orozco, and he was asked a few questions. He was asked how long he has been playing football, and he shared that he has had a football career for three months so far. His self-expectations for the season are to score at least 10 touchdowns, have lots of interceptions, sacks, and fumbles. He was also asked if he thought that he would fulfill those expectations, and he said, “Of course, I have been killing it so far into the season.”

Finally, The Cougar Claw asked what he thought the ending score, or scoring goal, of the game on August 26, 2016 would have been. He responded with a big win 42-0 Cougars that, sadly, did not happen. The Cougar Claw also had the opportunity to interview a coach from last season, Coach Fraser. They asked him how long he has been a coach, and he shared, “ I have been a coach for three years, it would have been four, but I am not coaching this season.” His expectations for the team is that they are going to work really hard, he knows them and knows they are hard workers who are motivated and want success.

Lastly, he was asked if he thought the team would fulfill those expectations, he says that he does, because he knows that the team really wants this. Hopefully the team can fulfill both expectations and lead Kearns to victory in the championships.. GO COUGARS!!
