Kearns- High school is one of the most important parts of someone’s life. It’s when they’re discovering who they truly are and what path they may take in life. Now, this can be difficult going through alone. Good thing Kearns High School has many clubs that can help someone figure these things out in a fun and enjoyable way. Kearns High has DECA, Madrigals, 2News, HOSA, Color Guard, and so many more school clubs that can help prepare for future careers! These clubs are super friendly and accepting of everyone and can help prepare their students for college and be successful through life.

Madrigals is one of the many clubs that they have for students. In Madrigals, students practice different kinds of music. Around this time, they’re doing Christmas music and learning about the history of certain songs. Kearns High Cougar Claw talked to Brandi Swenson, a member of Madrigals, at Kearns High School. “Madrigals has been a wonderful experience for me. I have met so many nice people and learned to appreciate the art of music so much more. You make a lot of great friends so easily. Overall, it’s an amazing and positive experience.” Madrigals recommends music lovers to join as soon as possible. They are always willing to help out Kearns High students develop a new love for music.

One thing all of these clubs have in common, is their help to prepare their students for life after high school and set a firm base for what they want to do when they are older. Just like Madrigals would help prepare a student for a musical career, HOSA will help with a healthcare-based career. Kearns High Cougar Claw spoke with, Ms. Morrows, a 15-year host for HOSA. She says HOSA will help prepare someone going into medicine or healthcare advocates. Even if you’re not trying to do anything medically related for your career, you can still join even if you’re just simply intrigued.

High school is an odd adjustment for most. School clubs can help make that easier. They also benefit students with preparation for a career of their choice. Making friends, setting up and preparing for a better and brighter future is now way easier.
