Joining the beginning painting class can show you a world you have never seen before. You can express yourself within the paintings you do and many people use art to send a message to the world, Art can also be healing. Allen Meghan, one of our art teachers says she became an art teacher, because she thinks art is healing and wanted to share and help others heal. Instead of getting therapy because therapy is expensive and not all people can afford it. Miss M says what inspired her to go into art was her artistic grandma, Miss M says that they would paint together when she was little, and that made her want to get into painting even more. Miss M says being an art teacher “ is fascinating and harder than I thought but it’s nice.
Isabel Lorenzo says what made her join beginning painting was “ Because I love art! And I wanted to learn more about art”. In beginning painting you learn about different painting techniques and how to do them. You also get to learn how to make colors and the textures you want. Andrea Michelle Hedden says “ I’ve learned how to do a wash over wash”.
In beginning painting you can make new friends and learn about another side of you that you never knew existed! In the classroom there is a wall where student’s art gets hung for a month. This wall is called The wall of artists of the month. It is important because the different art pieces that are made from students can inspire other students to keep practicing art or make them interested in trying art.
