We all know what our loving Jordan landing is and how much it’s changed these past years but let’s dig deeper into what there is.

History

Jordan Landing started in 1999 with the biggest stores being Walmart and Sears. First, when the project was coming in, many people didn’t like the idea of a shopping plaza near where they lived because of how it could affect traffic, schools, and city water supplies.  But they went with the plan which created an open-air mall with big retail stores, so many restaurants and stores, a 24-screen movie theater, and apartments/homes near the plaza. The new additions to the plaza are Hot Topic, Victoria Secret, Five Below, and Rush Fun Complex. The latter is a hangout place with a park, fireplace, and water fountain for enjoying the place with friends.

The hot topic is a store that targets teens to young adults who have interests in video games, anime, rock, or alternative styles. They have clothes, jewelry, toys, figures, etc.

Fivebelow is new overall and became very popular with their prices that only go five dollars and below. They also target teens to young adults, they have so many newer things that people like nowadays like anime, decor, art supplies, candy, toys/figures all under 5 bucks!

The fun rush center is also new overall. It’s an arcade with a golf course, bowling alley, laser tag, and upstairs there’s a racing track!

Near the area is a tillys which is a retail store that is targeted toward teens to young adults. They sell famous brands like Nike, Adais, North Face, billabong and more! A manager at the store named Enid said “Jordan Landing has an outlet vibe with how big it is because people think of Jordan Landing as Walmart, or Sam’s Club with all the tiny shops it has around but Jordan Landing is so much bigger than that with Target, the movie theater and lots of food places” when asked how would you describe Jordan Landing. She also recommends going to Five Below in Jordan Landing because Five Below is way better than the others with such low prices and cute things.

Near the Cinemark theaters, there’s a beautiful area where people can go eat, chat, stay warm near the fireplace, or get wet in the water fountain. In that are, Jordan Landing hosts a Christmas event that allows you to take photos with Santa! Overall Jordan Landing is a great nearby place that has a lot going for itself and will continue to grow as a whole.  There are still so many places there that I didn’t talk about so you should check it out!
