How many of you have already given up on your new year resolution or don’t have that much motivation to complete it? Well, no need to worry about it because there are 3 things to keep you motivated. It is never too late to finish what you started.
1 Setting goals.
Specific goals can be important because it gives you a clear direction on what you want to accomplish. It also allows you to keep on track with your progress. Having a specific goal can keep you motivated for a long time and help you clarify what you want to accomplish this year.
2 Challenge Yourself
Sometimes you need to challenge yourself to achieve things. A challenge can help you boost your confidence and push you to accomplish things that make you proud. It can help you see what you accomplished while stepping out of your comfort zone. But there is a small bit of doubt and fear inside of us and that doubt and fear can make you scared of failure. Turn that into motivation to accomplish your goal in life. That failure or doubt can motivate you to see the bigger picture of your goal. I Cristian Yanes, a student from Kearns High School, explains what he does to challenge himself. He said “My motivation is mostly that I just don’t want to fail, I’m not good at much but the gym is one thing I am good at. It keeps me going because I love how it feels to get stronger.” Challenging yourself can be great motivation to see how far you can push yourself.
3 See Results
Seeing results is important because it shows the progress of your journey and the effort and hard work you put into this accomplishment. But at the same time, you need to understand that results take a long time to develop, and they don’t show overnight. It takes effort, and motivation. What keeps other people motivated so they can see results? Gabriel Gutierrez said, “My goal is to look like a fictional character called Asura from the game Asura’s wrath. They take lots of time and consistency along with taking care of your body by feeding it the way it needs to be fed, it takes a lot of discipline to continue to keep going. You’ll feel worse about giving up later than to keep trying and getting through it. You might feel sore and feel like you can’t keep going sometimes, but keep pushing past that. If your body needs a rest day give it rest, but don’t give up. That’s one of the worst things someone can do. You need to make sure you take good care of yourself and push to your limits but never give up or maybe you will regret it later. You’re the one who makes the final decision in your life.”
