Welcome, Refugees
October 27, 2015
In Europe, they are currently facing a refugee crisis. Refugees from Syria, Afghanistan,
Pakistan, and more are fleeing to find better lives in Europe, escaping not only poverty but also war. They are fleeing to get the future they hope for, or the future they dream of. Germany is expected to have 8,000 more refugees by
the end of this year. There are 522,000 people that have already left their countries for better lives so far.
However, some countries are refusing to take anymore refugees. That is leading to different forms of police brutality and leaving families even more clueless than they were to begin with. Many families are leaving without a clue of where to go.
There are countries that welcome the refugees with open arms, but the others are refusing. Britain is one of those countries, claiming they have too many and there is no room. Several are pushing to have Britain accept more. The United States has accepted only 1,500 refugees, and there is a petition going around online for us to accept more. This could definitely change quite a few things in our country today. Several believe that the change could be for the best.
