Kne’x Connect students
December 16, 2015
Lunch is a time for eating, hanging out, and taking a break from class. Students Sean Smith, Austil Larcher, and Braydon Brower spend their lunch building a structure that reached up to the celling of the library.
Braydon says that he saw a bucket of K’nex and an instruction book in the library. He started off on one of the projects and soon Austin and Sean joined him and they started to build their own design off of it. They came in during lunches and within a week it reached to the ceiling.
Jenny Peirce, the librarian, put the K’nex out for a new program. Makers-Spacers is a new program that will help students create freely interact with each other. It will be in the library and include activities such as dabbling in art, technology, and more. Students are invited before school, lunch, and after school to come and express themselves.
