Teens are all about the Internet and the social media. Whether it’s Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Kik, or Instagram. But one thing gets some people wondering, why?

Teens use these things for good and bad use. It could be good because they use it to communicate with others and other times it can use it for bad. Mainly because it causes cyber bullying, meeting strangers and sometimes can lead to permanent scars, it can hurt others physically and mentally.

Some of the teens use it as a voice or to buy and shop online, and could be used as a tool or to cheat. The Internet is used for many things for us, it’s all based on what they use it for, how they use it, and why they use it, and “the Internet helps me with my homework.” 9th grade Taina Adams states. She says it keeps her updated on what’s going on in the world and to communicate with her family and friends.

9^th grade, Annalee Chacon says, “Drama on the internet or social media entertains me.” she stated, “It’s all so interesting, exciting and a little funny.”

Whether they are teens that use the Internet for social purposes or a teen that uses the social media as a tool, the Internet and social media will be a vital part of our futures and lives.
