Students Positive and Negative in the Workplace
Are student jobs beneficial for highschoolers, or does it affect them more negatively? Students and teachers alike seem to ultimately agree that jobs for students affect them more positively, whether it be with mental health or with certain behavioral trait. It is able to gain a more positive impact on the students and how they work, act, and speak. Working allows students to gain personal experience and helps them learn to be more independent. Alongside school, or any type of academic studies, students also need to find ways to learn other valuable skills and how to put them to use, which is where working comes in as well.
In an interview with Danni Adams, a student who attends Kearns High School, was asked about whether working while attending school has taught him any valuable skills. “It taught me scheduling and time management. It taught me waking up early in the morning because I don’t like doing that.” Being able to manage your time effectively is a crucial part of the everyday life of an adult. Learning it early, especially during your teenage years when you start getting more schoolwork and less free time is quite beneficial to how you’re able to manage your time in the future.
