State Runner-Ups Back in Action

November 7th, 2015 marked the beginning season for boys basketball.  It was an intense game that went back and forth multiple times between the two teams which led the game to go into overtime, but in the end Kearns ended up coming out on top.  When speaking coach Cosby on how he felt about the win and if there is anything the team needs to improve on, he stated that “ I am happy with the win, but we have a lot of work to do.  We need to work on our defense.  Some of the things that are going to give us problems is lack of discipline, not making those free throws, and not having good defense, but aside all of this I like the team, we have a lot of talent coming in.”  In the end though it was still an amazing win and their was a lot of good sportsmanship out their on both sides.  The fans were also great, they both showed respect for each others teams and cheered each time either team made a basket.  With all the fans there it brought back a memory to Coach Cosby “ I remember when we only had like 10 studenst in the stands, but seeing these bigger turnouts are amazing.  The atmosphere is always great and the players feed off your energy.  Make sure to tell the students and the fans to keep coming out to the games, because we love it.”  So lets continue attending these games and cheering on our team to give them support and hopefully end the season on a high note.
