It is common information that cell phones have a massive impact on today’s generation. Phones were first created for communication for those far away, and now cell phones are used for much more. Teenagers are often found consumed into the worlds of YouTube, Netflix, Facebook, Memes, and more. With thousands of apps and seemingly endless websites at their fingertips, it is no wonder they are always on their phones.

Meanwhile, most adults are starting to get very frustrated with this Generation constantly with their nose stuck in their phones. Many think that Teenagers are losing their communication skills with every minute they spend with their minds lost to their technology. Adults often think technology is an addiction and that teenagers should be spending more time outside or doing something more ‘productive.’

Meanwhile, 15-year-old, Emily Alba, has a very different option.

“Our phones and other electronic devices that are gateways to a world of information devices. While they do give us some privileges, I feel like phones are the bases of our society. Students are constantly on their phones to ease their school workload. Adults are simply riveted with the technology they did not have as children. While those around me remain on their phones, I still have a good relationships and support the fact that people who are millions of miles away from lost friends and family are connected by phone. Physical and verbal responses are lacking and troubling,”
