From the Eyes of a Coach

From+the+Eyes+of+a+Coach

Every time we go to a game the first thing we look at is the players. Never looking into the sidelines. Seeing the ones who have helped the athletes come this far. The ones who tell them to keep on going even when they feel like giving up. Those are the coaches the ones who have three important roles in every game. They are the mindset, leadership, and motivation. Since the first day of practice, the coach makes sure to make the athlete improve till the very last game. Coach Ballard says, “ Every coach wants their Kids to have success. And we have to work hard through the process, for them to have success till the very end.”  One of the most important things for a coach is that school comes first. Coaches don’t only want their athletes to be great in the game, but in school. Coach Pritchard mention that one of the hardest things for a coach is to keep their athletes focus in school. Therefore a coach has to keep track of an athlete’s grades. Every time the team wins or loses the coach will also feel emotional. The only difference between the coach and the athlete, is that the coach can’t show much of the emotions. After a game all the coaches will get together and see what they did right, what they can improve on, and who did what, it all goes down to teamwork. Even though the coaches and the athletes might have a different role in the play at the end they are all still a team. Working hard and winning is all the team is looking for. Coaches take time out of their day, just to see an athlete succeed, to see them improve, but most of all to see an athlete do what they love. Working hard and sticking together as a team is what will make a team successful. So next time there is a game remember that the coaches are also part of the team. They are one of the most important part of the team.  Without them there wouldn’t be a game. To all the coaches out there, thank you for all your hard work.
