Reviewing Girls Soccer Season

The Lady Cougars looked great zooming through the season looking 1-3 in preseason. They even had a great ending to their season going 9-2. They played Granger as their first away game of the season and winning 2-0. Then they played Riverton for their first home game, but lost an upsetting 8-0.

The Lady Cougars went into their regions mid season. They first played a very outstanding game against the Olympus Titans. The ladies came out like they were anxious to win. They were off a great start, and then out of nowhere, they lost the gas in their tanks. Unfortunately, the Cougars lost 8-0. Their second region game playing Hillcrest, as a home game, was more interesting as the ladies wanted to win to make their playoff dreams come true. Sadly, they lost 8-1.

The most recent region game the Lady Cougars played was against Murray. This was an intense game for the ladies. They knew their playoff dream might not come true, but they still tried their best in the game against Murray. In the beginning of the game, the ladies were playing a great defense and were making the Spartans frustrated. Then, the Spartans started heating up their game as well. Our lady cougars just couldn’t keep up. Murray won 8-0 in a really fun watching, intense, and nail biting game.

The last game for the Lady Cougars was against Cyprus on October sixth. __________________
